The color trends we can be sure to see on the runways, as well as in weddings, are Violet Tulip, Placid Blue, Hemlock, Sand, Freesia, Cayenne, Celosai, Paloma, Radiant Orchid, and Dazzling Blue.
I was inspired by this year’s choice in colors and distinct shades and am looking forward to seeing their actuality in the 2014 summer weddings in the form of gowns, chuppahs, and ketubahs.
For Placid Blue there were designs from Marchesa that stood out in this almost icicle baby blue shade, Ketubah.com has this “Snowy Birches” ketubah to match, and my favorite flower, the hydrangea, looks lovely in this shade. It only takes a few stems to look like a luscious bouquet on your wedding day! Talk about a way to save money.
Now the shade of Cayenne honestly scared me. Is it peach? Is it salmon? What’s going on? But once I saw it translated on the runways like in Elie Saab’s show I took a calm, deep breath. But how might brides incorporate this shade into their wedding day besides for bridesmaids? I looked no further than Ketubah.com’s Pinterest board “Chuppah Crushes” and found the below floral chuppah.
But how might brides incorporate this shade into their wedding day besides for bridesmaids dresses?
Notes of, not only cayenne, but also celosai orange can be picked up in a stunning way. And just when I thought I’d never find a ketubah to go along for a bride or groom with this color palette, I was proven wrong and found this “Two Entwined – Plum and Peach” ketubah by Robert Saslow.
Which color are you most excited about for the upcoming year? Have an example from your own wedding? I’d love to see and share it!
